Scaling Up Forest Protection and Restoration
Listen to the article
Forests are essential to climate, biodiversity, and livelihoods. Halting deforestation and restoring our forests is critical and urgent if we want to ensure a sustainable future.
How can we act now to scale-up protection and restoration of the world’s forest?
At COP26, world leaders promised to end deforestation by 2030. To reach this goal, deforestation efforts need to scale-up and overcome the barriers it faces. To be successful, credible, inclusive and high-quality solutions are needed.

- Discuss the existing barriers in scale up action and impact
- Present different pathways to drive change and increase impact
- Highlight opportunities of collective action and innovative solutions which are driving the change towards reducing deforestation across the world
