Andres Felipe Vera Ramirez

Andres Felipe Vera Ramirez is the Community Animator of the Community of Social Innovators of Acumen Academy, a community globally connected locally rooted. Also is the director of Radioperiodico Clarin in Medellin, an independent radio program founded in 1958, and the former Economic Editor of El Mundo newspaper in the same city. He works for leveraging impact of social innovators tackling poverty in creative ways, and is constantly looking for ways to connect people, and knowledge.
Andres is an Alumni of Global Shapers from the Medellin Hub, selected for the first MITx Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (2014) and now member of this global community, member of the community of change makers +Acumen Corps, member of the core team of Science Clubs Colombia, among other local, and global communities. He is a lifelong learner that is constantly learning unrelated things, working in the 'white-spaces' between disciplines, and is actively participating in the experiments and design of complex self-adaptive systems as an active participant in them. He is committed to work for a global system with a sustainable public trust; a system where everyone can benefit from the same opportunities, on which everyone can unlock his and her full potential and be able to be part of solutions to complex challenges locally, and globally; a system where we can build together a sustainable public welfare for all.
