Ange Chitate is the Chief Operating Officer for Africa Risk Capacity Ltd (ARC Ltd). ARC Ltd. is a development insurer and the financial affiliate of ARC Group, providing parametric insurance to African sovereigns as an early warning response to climate-related disasters.
Ange also leads the ESG mandate for the company. Her prior experience was with the Southern Africa Trust, which focuses on policy making aimed at poverty reduction. She also worked in the banking and insurance industries, and brings a combination of experience in both the private and public sectors to ARC Ltd.
Ange holds an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand and Rotterdam School of Management. She is also on the board of Ripple Reading, an organization that focuses on child literacy.
