Anna-Maria is a communications specialist with previous international experience promoting major United Nations partnerships and initiatives to upscale sustainable business practices. In her latest position at the United Nations Environment Programme, Anna-Maria was Coordinator of the Green Industry Platform of the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership - the largest global network of experts and organizations dedicated to generating, managing, and sharing green growth knowledge.

Before that, she led communications for the global Green Jobs Programme of the International Labour Organization. She also worked for the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development and the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

She holds a Master in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and a Master of Arts in Geography from the University of St Andrews (Scotland).
