Anna Maria Geretti, MD, PhD, FRCPath, is Professor of Virology & Infectious Diseases and Honorary Consultant in Infectious Diseases at the Institute of Infection & Global Health, University of Liverpool, where she consult on viral infections, sees patients with HIV and viral hepatitis, teaches and conducts research. Her research focuses on antiviral therapy, virus genetic diversity and diagnostics, and has led to over 200 publications. Anna Maria is Secretary of the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS). She runs research programmes in Africa and enthusiastically shares her expertise to train doctors and scientists.
