3 ways to disrupt education and help bridge the skills gap

Kalyan Kumar, popularly known as KK, is the Chief Product Officer for HCLSoftware, the software business unit of HCLTech. His role spans across Sales Engineering, Product Management, Product Engineering, Support and Central Engineering along with Cloud/SaaS ops across 15000+ customers and over 700+ Business Partners globally.
KK has been with HCLTech for over two decades. He joined the company (HCL COMNET division) in 2000 and has since held various leadership roles across solutions, business development, alliance management, practice, CoE. He also donned the hat of Global Chief Technology Officer and Head – Ecosystems, overseeing all product and technology strategy, emerging technology incubation, and the overall cloud offering – CloudSMART. He led the HCLTech ecosystem units spanning cloud, TechOEMs, Telcos, and the start-up ecosystem e-STiP.
KK is a member of the Wall Street Journal CIO Network and the CNBC Technology Executive Council. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and part of the WEF Global Future Council 2020 and 2021 for Quantum Computing and the WEF 2021 CDO Community. He has co-authored eight books in the domains of business technology and service management. In 2021 and 2022, Technology Magazine named KK in their Global Top 100 Technology Leaders.
He is the Trustee and Chairman of a London-based charity that drives the adoption of cricket in state schools and continues to engage with the community on holistic development with sports. He is an active member of eight County Cricket Clubs and select academies and is a life member of the prestigious Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
KK actively follows and plays cricket, squash, and golf – and he follows football, rugby, and F1. He is a musician and was the drummer and percussionist for the Delhi-based group, Contraband. He now occasionally plays in the local gig circuit in London.
