Bayo Adelaja has been an entrepreneur for over 10 years running businesses that have gained national and international acclaim. Most recently she has been inducted into the Queen’s Young Leaders Program as a mentor to some of the brightest young innovators across Africa.
She began as a techie and that led to recognition by Baroness Martha Lane Fox (co-founder of Lastminute.com and member of Twitter's board) as one to watch in tech innovation. However, she became enamoured with emerging markets and looked to use entrepreneurial thinking to solve problems in African markets. That work has gained her recognition by both Oxford and Harvard University's Business Schools as an innovator in African entrepreneurship based on her philosophy of engaging organisations in market-making practices. She currently works with clients to help them own and successfully operate as much of their impact and value chain as possible, for the benefit of African communities.
