China has made significant progress in battling the environmental catastrophes of the past century. What can other countries learn from them?
I am currently Professor of Global Change, Environment, and Society at Deakin University, located at the Burwood Campus in Melbourne's east. I graduated from the University of Adelaide with First Class Honours in Geography, a Masters of Environmental Studies, and a PhD in spatial planning for ecological restoration. I spent 5 years lecturing in spatial science at The University of Adelaide and nearly 13 years as a Principal Research Scientist in CSIRO working on integrated analysis of environmental policy and management in Australia.
