Carlos Monteverde is a Product Manager at Mastercard, focused on identifying and building commercially sustainable products tailored to convert cash-related inflows and outflows to digital means, particularly in underserved markets. He is part of a team contributing to the company-wide effort to achieve the stated goal of reaching 500 million unbanked individuals by 2020. Prior to Mastercard, Carlos worked at the World Economic Forum and EY. Carlos’ work has also been featured on the World Economic Forum, the Banker and Fortune. He studied International Finance at Espiritu Santo University in Ecuador and did his graduate work at the University of Sydney, including a fellowship at Columbia University.
