Caroline Plante works with the World Bank’s Global Food and Agriculture Practice (GFADR) as a livestock specialist, promoting investments in this sector with a stronger focus on global public goods (health, environment and equity). She is particularly involved in animal health-related interventions and governance of veterinary services, as well as acting interfacing with other public health sectors using a “One Health” approach. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2011, she worked at the OIE for 6 years, rolling out programs for the development of capacities of Veterinary Services in Africa, Europe and Central Asia. She also spent 5 years in National Veterinary Services in France, working on disease prevention and control, import and export certification, animal welfare, food safety and environmental issues.
