Casper Sonesson has been Deputy Director of Private Sector at United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) since 2008. Previously, he was a Global Policy Advisor for Extractive Industries and sustainable development. Prior to this position, he worked for over a decade to shape and develop UNDP’s engagement with the private sector across a range of development areas, including economic development and job creation, environmental sustainability and crisis prevention and recovery. Casper has also worked extensively on private sector development, entrepreneurship and microfinance. From 2011 – 2014 he served as a member on the Executive Committee of the Donor Committee for Enterprise Development.
