Cathy Li is the Head of AI, Data and Metaverse, and Deputy Head of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution at the World Economic Forum (WEF). Since joining WEF in 2018, she has led initiatives such as the Global Digital Safety Coalition and Defining and Building the Metaverse.
She is currently spearheading the AI Governance Alliance at WEF—a multi-stakeholder initiative uniting industry leaders, governments, academic institutions, and civil society organizations to champion the responsible global design and release of transparent and inclusive AI systems.
Prior to her tenure at WEF, Cathy was a Partner at GroupM, WPP's media investment arm, where she held various leadership roles across digital media buying, data and analytics, content, strategic consulting, and financial communications in London, New York, and Beijing.
Cathy holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
