Craig Arnold is President of Dow Sub-Saharan Africa. He is responsible for driving Dow’s growth strategy for Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on Dow’s key markets: South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia and Angola.
Prior to his current role, Arnold was Commercial Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India for Dow Industrial Solutions. In this role he was responsible for providing strategic direction, marketing, and regional business performance of an industry-leading portfolio of innovative products, leveraged across multiple high value markets, to enable manufactures in both the developed and emerging markets to perform better, faster and cleaner. Under Arnold’s leadership, Dow Industrial Solutions has deepened its market participation across multiple value chains while expanding its presence in emerging geographies to unlock new opportunities for both new and existing customers and other partners.
Arnold joined Dow in 1997 in Johannesburg, South Africa, assuming technical and commercial roles in sales and later Product Marketing Manager for Specialty Plastics and Polyethylene. In 2002, he moved to Horgen, Switzerland to assume the role of Sr Market Manager for Polyolefins. Arnold became the Global Product Director for Synthetic Rubber & Elastomers in 2004. In 2007 he was promoted to the role of Global Business Director for Synthetic Rubber where he was responsible for the overall operations and financial success of the business
