David Galenson is Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago and Academic Director of the Center for Creativity Economics at the Universidad del CEMA, Buenos Aires. He received his B.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University. His recent research studies why and how creative people innovate. His books include Painting Outside the Lines (2001), Artistic Capital (2006), Old Masters and Young Geniuses (2006), and Conceptual Revolutions in Twentieth-Century Art (2009).
