Global Responsibilities: As Vice President since 2011, Deb’s primary role involves establishing and executing on the company’s global EHS and CSR strategy, driving results toward short and long-term targets, maintaining product and EHS compliance, ensuring EHS and Sustainability excellence and transparency. In 2016 Deb delivered our company-wide Purpose (For Those Who Make The World) to qualitatively define the company, unite employees, attract and retain talent and contributing the first step to defining our global 2030 CSR Strategy. In 2017 Deb’s role expanded to include CSR spanning all business units and all regions for our global company, reporting into the Chief HR Officer who reports to the CEO. In this new role, Deb retained global responsibility for improving the environmental performance of our facilities, the safety of our employees, and the sustainability of our operations, while taking the next step to ensuring that our businesses have a broader, positive impact on society. Prior to 2011 Deb held positions of increasing responsibility at Stanley Black & Decker including Environmental Manager, Corporate Manager of Environmental Affairs, and Corporate EHS Director (2000- 2011).
Global Results: Under her leadership the company’s operational footprint has validated normalized energy, carbon, water and waste reductions since 2011. Global safety performance has shown year-over year favorable incident reductions to world class standards. Stanley Black & Decker is on the North America Dow Jones Sustainability Index as well as on CDP’s S&P 500 Climate Leadership Status.
Prior to joining Stanley Black & Decker in 2000, Deb was with Textron as a member of the global EHS organization overseeing environmental liability management, and was a hydrogeologist with consulting firm, Hart Crowser. She graduated summa cum laude with an MS degree from Washington State University (1991) and a BS degree from State University of New York at Geneseo (1989). Deb is located at Stanley Black & Decker’s World Headquarters in New Britain, Connecticut.
