Small and growing businesses make the biggest impact on economies, and they need more support
As populations grow, millions of jobs will be needed in sub-Saharan Africa alone and SGBs will play an essential role in providing sustainable livelihoods.
Diana is the Head of the Sustainable Development Investment Partnership (SDIP), a global initiative of the World Economic Forum and the OECD, with more than 40 public, private and philanthropic institutions working to scale and accelerate finance for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in developing countries and emerging markets. She joined the Forum in April 2017 after 6 years in environmental disclosure and ESG integration in investment decisions as Southern Europe Director for CDP. Before that she headed the sourcing and commercialization of carbon offsets in China and South East Asia as Encore Carbon Head of Origination. Previous roles include business development in insurance sector; junior analyst in PE/VC and FOREX trading assistant. She is from Veracruz, Mexico and holds a BA (Hons) in Financial Management from the Monterrey Institute of Technology; a Chinese Language and Culture Diploma from the Beijing Normal University and an EMBA from the London Business School. She speaks in English, Spanish, Italian and conversational Mandarin and French.
