Greek myths could create future leadership legends
Myths that long predate the world’s very first democracy have lessons for us today – just as they did for the ancient Greeks centuries ago.
I received my A.B. from Dartmouth College and my Ph. D. in Classical Philology from Yale University. I am currently a Professor of Classical Languages and Literature at Sarah Lawrence College. I have taught Greek mythology and history at Yale University and Trinity College. I am the author of Enraged: Why Violent Times Need Ancient Greek Myths (Yale UP, 2017) and Solon the Singer: Politics and Poetics (Rowman & Littlefield, 1993).
