Governments need to improve the bureaucratic nightmare of opening and running a business in Latin America.
Enrique Ortegón is the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Salesforce in Latin America. In this capacity, Mr Ortegon oversees sales strategy, business development, solution engineering, and specialized sales activities for all the region. Prior to this role, Mr Ortegon served as General Manager of Salesforce’s Caribbean and Spanish Speaking America (CaSSA).
Before his return to Salesforce, Mr Ortegon was Senior Vice President of Global Business Excellence at InsideSales.com, a sales acceleration technology company, with responsibility for all enablement, deal desk and sales strategy and operations for the company. He also spent 3.5 years as Vice President of Global Enterprise Strategy and Operations at Salesforce. Prior to his first tour of duty at Salesforce, Enrique was Managing Partner at Xplosion Entertainment; and prior to that he was Associate Partner at The Monitor Group, in the General Management and Strategy practice, focusing in Latin America. Enrique was named one of the most notable and influential IT executives in Latin America/Ibero America in 2017 by the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HiTec).
Enrique holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Monterrey Tech in Mexico and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children.
