Wage inequality: is it a question of where you work not who you are?

Erling Barth is Research Professor at the Institute for Social Research, Oslo and Professor II at Department of Economics, University of Oslo, affiliated with ESOP. He is Wertheim Fellow at the Labor and Worklife Program at Harvard University, Research Economist at the National Bureau of Economic Research, NBER, and Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labour, IZA. He has served as a member of the Executive Committee of the European Association of Labour Economists EALE. His research interests include labour economics, wage determination, and the interaction between the welfare state and wage setting institutions in the labour market.
