Communications Manager, Nature Pillar, World Economic Forum

Gemma is a Communications Lead for the World Economic Forum's Centre for Nature and Climate, heading communications for the Ocean Action Agenda and Friends of Ocean Action. She has over 20 years' experience as a global strategic communications leader across the non-profit, public and private sectors. Before joining the Forum, Gemma was a senior communications consultant for organizations ranging from the Luc Hoffmann Institute and Edwards Lifesciences to the European Broadcasting Union and IUCN - and Dreamscape, as a motion capture actor, alongside voiceover assignments. She previously served as Head of PR and Artist Liaison at Oxfam GB, Executive Communications Manager at WWF International and Account Executive at Hill+Knowlton, among other roles. Gemma holds a Masters in International Politics from the Centre Européen de Recherches Internationales et Stratégiques in Brussels (affiliated with Université Paris XI), a Chartered Institute of Linguists Diploma in Translation, and a Bachelors in Modern Languages from the University of Exeter.
