Ghazala Azmat and Rosa Ferrer on why gender gaps are prominent within the legal sector.
Ghazala Azmat is a Professor of Economics at Queen Mary University of London and a Research Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at the London School of Economics. Formerly, she was a professor at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). Her main research interests are in applied and empirical microeconomics. In particular, her research focuses on issues relating to competition, incentives and organizational structure, as well as on topics in labor, education and public economics. She is currently working on a number of projects that analyze the fundamentals behind incentive schemes used by organizations to influence the performance and the participation of agents. Ghazala holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics.
