Helen is a senior research associate with the Centre and a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University, studying biomedical engineering with a concentration in neuro-engineering.

She began her career in blockchain, working across business development, growth, and product to validate and scale Web3 start-ups. Before leaving this industry, she was a research associate with the premier cryptocurrency research firm, Messari.

her primary research focuses include artificial intelligence in medicine, synthetic biology, and other advancements in bioengineering. She is particularly interested in neurotechnologies, like brain-computer interfaces, and is a member of the student and postdoc committee at the Brain-Computer Interface Society.
