What renewable energy can do for healthcare in India
The world is witnessing a major transition both in energy and health. The share of renewables in our energy mix is unprecedented and global health indicators are better than they ever were.
Hem H. Dholakia is a Senior Research Associate with the Council of Energy, Environment and Water. His research addresses the linkages between energy, environment, human health and public policy in India.
He was the recipient of the Young Scientist Summer Award in 2012 at the International Institute of Applied Systems (IIASA), Austria. Hem has published six papers in International peer-reviewed journals; contributed to a book chapter as well as the LIMITS (2014) India report. In addition, he is the co-author of a book titled "Energy-Emissions Trends and Policy Landscape in India".
Hem holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad); Master's in Exercise Science from University of Brighton (UK) and Bachelor's in Physiotherapy from Seth G.S. Medical College.
