Published widely on British political culture in the 'long' nineteenth century (1780-1914) including in English Historical Review, Historical Research, Parliamentary History and Cultural and Social History. Contributed over 200 biographies and constituencies histories to the History of Parliament's 1832-1868 House of Commons project.
