Dr. Hermann Tribukait is the Co-Founder and CEO of Atinary Technologies, a leading machine learning startup transforming R&D and molecules discovery. Dr. Tribukait is an economist, entrepreneur and recognized expert in innovation and technology development. Prior to launching Atinary, he co-authored and led the Clean Energy Materials Innovation Challenge of the global initiative Mission Innovation, representing Mexico’s Energy Innovation Funds. In 2017, Dr. Tribukait co-authored the Materials Acceleration Platform Report that has become one of the seminal research reports on the vision of accelerated materials discovery integrating artificial intelligence, robotics, and cloud computing.
Dr. Tribukait has designed, negotiated and co-led innovation and R&D initiatives that have resulted in investments of more than US$200 million, including public private partnerships in North America and Europe. He is an affiliate of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, a Founding Member of the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions of the Solar Impulse Foundation, invited by Dr. Bertrand Piccard, and a Member of the MIT Technology Review Global Panel. He co-authored Chapter 7 of the United Nations Environmental Programme Emissions Gap Report 2018, on the role of innovation policy and market creation, invited by Prof. Mariana Mazzucato.
Dr. Tribukait has a BA in Economics (summa cum laude) from ITAM (Mexico), and a Masters and Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard. He is fluent in English, German, and Spanish.
