Hira Channa is an Agriculture Economist in the Latin American and Caribbean Agriculture Global Practice. She has worked extensively on the Caribbean including on operations in Belize, Dominica, Grenada and Haiti, and on country and regional level analytical work. Hira joined the unit after finishing her PhD in Agriculture Economics from Purdue University. Her dissertation focused on finding strategies to solve post-harvest challenges for smallholder farm households in sub-Saharan Africa.
