Isabel Blackett is a Senior Sanitation and Water Specialist for the World Bank Global Water Practice - Water and Sanitation Program based in the World Bank’s office in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her work has been focused on improving national policies and practice for implementing poor-inclusive sanitation services in urban areas in Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and recently also in India and on the global poor-inclusive urban sanitation agenda.
Before joining the Bank in 2005 she worked as a sanitation specialist and team leader in Southern and East Africa and East Asia for UK Department for International Development (DFID), UNICEF, KfW, private sector, NGOs, research institutions and other bi-lateral development agencies.
