Human, flexible, adaptable: key trends for the future of retail
The retailers of the future will likely sell a combination of the tangible and intangible – the product and an experience, writes an executive at Google.
Jamie is Industry Head, Retail at Google. Prior to Google, Jamie founded and grew Glasses Direct, employing 150 people and becoming Europe’s largest online glasses retailer shipping over a thousand pairs of glasses a day. Jamie also co-founded entrepreneurship campaigning organisation StartUp Britain, which was announced in the Chancellor’s 2011 budget speech and launched by the Prime Minister. He served for 3 years on George Osborne's New Enterprise Council from 2007-2010. In 2009 Jamie received the Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion. Last year, he was appointed OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
