The computer revolution: how it's changed our world over 60 years
Justin Zobel examines how the computer has changed over 60 years to become what it is today.
Professor Justin Zobel is Head of the University of Melbourne's Department of Computing & Information Systems, in the School of Engineering. After completing his PhD at Melbourne in 1991, for many years he was based at RMIT University, where he led the Search Engine group. In the research community, Professor Zobel is best known for his role in the development of algorithms for efficient web search, and also works in bioinformatics and fundamental algorithms. He has long-standing interests in academic conduct, plagiarism, and research methods, and is the author of three texts on graduate study skills.
