Lauren Sorkin-Yeo

Executive Director, Resilient Cities Network (RCN)

Lauren Sorkin serves as the Executive Director for the Resilient Cities Network. She is a passionate environmentalist, development professional, certified integrative nutrition coach, yoga instructor, and mother of two Singaporean-American girls.

Prior to Resilient Cities, Lauren worked to promote sustainable development and equity with the European Commission, USAID, the Worldwatch Institute, and the Asian Development Bank.

She joined 100 Resilient Cities in 2014 to help a global movement take shape, with a focus on developing partnerships to deliver appropriate technologies to cities with varying capacities. In 2019, working with member cities, Lauren led the transition of 100 Resilient Cities from a project of the Rockefeller Foundation, to an independent, charitable organization that supports the world's leading city-led network promoting holistic urban resilience. The mission of Resilient Cities Network is to empower its members through knowledge, partnerships, and finance to reduce the vulnerabilities of more than 220 million urban residents in 40 countries.
