As a visual artist and interactive author, I make art and write in conversation with places, people and other living things. Inspired by dance and tiny creatures of the sea, I draw and animate our changing world. As Living Data program leader I facilitate conversations with scientists and other artists, and physical and online presentations of responses to climate change expressed through art and science.
I am an artist and scholar of Indigenous Australian and European ancestry. Formal studies include dance, visual arts, animation, interactive media, Indigenous perspectives and Antarctic perceptions. My PhD was practice-based and led to the development of a lexicon of primal gestural forms that I use to combine scientific data and subjective responses.
Current positions are Visiting Fellow, Faculty of Science, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and Visiting Scientist, Marine Biology, Australian Antarctic Division (AAD).
