Lori Bailey

Lori Bailey is Global Head of Cyber Risk for Zurich Insurance Group, where she is responsible for developing and implementing global strategies, portfolio management, underwriting governance and product development globally for all cyber risk exposures. In this position since June 2017, she oversees underwriting operations for Zurich’s Security & Privacy product as well as related lines of business with emerging cyber risk. In her previous role, she was the Global Head of Special Lines and had held this position since 2014. Ms. Bailey is also currently serves as Head of Zurich’s Women’s Innovation Network (“WIN”) in North America which has over 1,600 members and helps to support gender equity and drive professional development for women in the insurance industry. She has held a number of leadership roles within Zurich since joining the firm in 2009.

Prior to joining Zurich, Ms. Bailey was a Vice President in AIG’s Professional Liability division and was responsible for all professional liability product management operations, including Employed Lawyers coverage, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology E&O and Security & Privacy risks. As part of that role, she developed and executed several new product offerings. She also spent several years as a Senior Underwriter and began her career as a Claims Analyst in AIG’s Professional Liability division. Earlier, she served as a Vice President in Marsh's FINPRO division working with D&O, EPLI, Fiduciary, Crime and E&O placements.

Ms. Bailey has received numerous awards for her leadership, including being named to Insurance Business America’s Hot 100 and Elite Women lists in 2017. Ms. Bailey was also named as a “Woman to Watch” by Business Insurance in 2017.

Ms. Bailey is a member of Professional Liability Underwriters Society (PLUS) and serves as an officer on the PLUS Steering Committee for the New England Chapter. She is a member of several working groups of the World Economic Forum as well as a regular speaker on panels and forums related to financial lines and cyber liability topics. She is a frequent guest contributor to multinational business publications and has authored numerous articles on security and privacy, as well as a variety of leadership topics. She is a graduate of Dickinson College (B.A. - magna cum laude) and Villanova University (M.A.).
