Maha Eltobgy is Vice President Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilization at the Rockefeller Foundation (RF). She joined RF in December 2023 to build the Foundation’s partnerships function. Maha has some 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles that combine strategy, business development and stakeholder engagement. She has deep knowledge of and experience in sustainability and ESG having been Managing Director and Chief Sustainability Officer at Brightstar Capital Partners where she was responsible for designing and implementing an ESG strategy across all aspects of the organization. Prior to that, Maha spent a decade at the World Economic Forum where she was Head of Investors Industries and a Member of the Executive Committee. She spearheaded the Forum’s Stakeholder Capitalism and ESG initiatives working with the C-suite of leading global organizations. In this capacity she led the Forum team that coordinated activities with the ESG voluntary standard setters – e.g., SASB, GRI, CDP etc. – and the Forum’s engagement and MOU with the ISSB. Maha started her career in strategy consulting, first as a consultant with the Monitor Group and subsequently as a member of in-house strategy teams with Pearson PLC and Louis Vuitton North America. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MA in International Relations, Economics and Middle East Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
