As a young and dynamic first-generation entrepreneur, Mahesh holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has embarked on a successful journey, founding, and nurturing multiple businesses in IT, Environmental Technologies, Clean Energy, Urban Infrastructure and Space Technologies over last two decades.
Mahesh's entrepreneurial journey began with an environmental solutions company, dedicated to technology transfer from developed markets to India, setting the stage for his remarkable career in the Indian Energy Sector. In 2006, he founded Greenko Group alongside his co-founder and partner, Anil Chalamalasetty. Today Greenko is leading the energy transition with an installed Renewable Energy capacity of over 7.5 GW across Wind, Solar and Hydro capacities and building 100 GWh of Long duration energy storage solutions.
Mahesh actively engages with global investors and industry peers, participating in various investor forums and contributing significantly to the World Economic Forum and various energy councils. His leadership at Greenko earned the company many accolades including the "Most Innovative Company award" from the Government of Telangana.
Outside of work, Mahesh is a keen traveller and wildlife enthusiast and actively supports the conservation of endangered Olive Ridley Turtles, Red Pandas, and the Great Indian Bustard across various habitats in India.
