Began career in 1986 at Accenture (then Arthur Andersen), after graduating with a degree in Economics. 1993, joined Mandarina Duck, latterly as Chief Executive Officer. 2004, joined Marithé et François Girbaud; 2005, Chief Executive Officer, Stella McCartney. 2008, Chief Executive Officer, Bottega Veneta. 2014, Chief Executive Officer, Couture and Leather Goods, Kering. January 2015, President and Chief Executive Officer, Gucci. From 2015 to 2018, the company increased its staff from 11,000 to 19,000 employees and its revenues from €3.898 to €8.285 billion. 2019, led Gucci to become fully carbon neutral within its own operations and across the supply chain, a unique achievement in the luxury industry that immediately set the tone for others; the September 2019 fashion show was awarded ISO 20121 certification. Recipient, honours and awards, including: Legion of Honour (2017); named Business Leader of the Year at the British Fashion Awards held by the British Fashion Council (2016, 2017 and 2018).
