Head, AI Applications and Impact, World Economic Forum

Maria serves as the Head of AI Applications and Impact at the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) at the World Economic Forum. In this role, she leads flagship initiatives that drive the transformation of industries and society through digital technologies. She also oversees key functional areas, including the network of regional Centres for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Centre's global community, communications, and strategies to amplify the Centre's global impact.
The Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution sets the global agenda on AI and emerging technologies, leveraging technological advancements to foster equitable, human-centered transformation across industries, economies, and societies.
Previously, Maria held roles as the Digital Technologies Portfolio Manager at C4IR and Platform Curator for the Advanced Manufacturing and Value Chains Centre. Before joining the Forum, she worked with the United Nations, McKinsey & Company, and the University of California, Berkeley, advancing sustainable development, innovation, and digital transformation agendas.
