Depopulation and deurbanization in some countries and numerous cities are becoming serious problems for which - at present - no good solutions exist.
Martin Stavenhagen is a consultant, policy analyst and project manager with ten years of experience in climate, energy and water policy, sustainable urban development, and public sector reform.
He has managed several German technical cooperation projects in South Asia on solar industry standards, water and air quality measurements, and quality infrastructure, and has designed and facilitated policy training programs for decision-makers from more than 40 countries. He also researched urban resilience and water demand management strategies in cities at the Institute of Water Policy, National University of Singapore. Currently, he's a consultant on climate, energy and water policy and the circular economy.
