Which European country gets most of its power from wind farms?
With wind farms fast catching up, along with solar, here's a list of European countries that leading the charge in using wind energy for power generation.
Matt Roney is a Research Associate with the Earth Policy Institute, a non-profit research organization dedicated to planning a sustainable future and providing a roadmap of how to get from here to there. With EPI founder and president Lester R. Brown and colleagues Janet Larsen and Emily Adams, he is co-author of The Great Transition: Shifting from Fossil Fuels to Solar and Wind Energy. He holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Conservation from the University of New Hampshire. His primary research topics include renewable energy, nuclear power, fisheries, and aquaculture. Prior to joining EPI in 2007, Matt led community outreach projects and did GIS mapping with the Environmental Programs office of the City of Dover, NH.
