Miguel Lago is a political scientist focused on the intersection of Health policies, Technology and Civic Participation. He is the executive director of the Institute for Health Policy Studies (IEPS), a Brazil based think tank on health systems. Prior to that, he co-founded and was the president-director of Nossas, one of the largest civic-tech organisations in Latin-America. Miguel has taught courses on Technology and Participation at the École d'Affaires Publiques of Sciences Po (Paris) and at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University (New York). He has written numerous articles and his views have appeared in the New York Times, The Economist, BBC, Le Monde, The Hindu, and other major media in English, Spanish and French. In 2019, he was named one of the 100 most influential people in digital government by Apolitical.
