Mirco Tonin is a senior lecturer in economics at the University of Southampton. He is also a research affiliate at CESIfo in Munich, a research fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn and he worked as a consultant for the International Labour Office (ILO) in Geneva and the World Bank. Mirco graduated from Bocconi University in Milan in 2000 and received his PhD from Stockholm University in 2007.
His main research interests are in labour economics, public economics, and behavioural economics. He has studied charitable giving, tax enforcement, and labour market institutions.
