His Excellency, Mr. Mohammed Al-Jadaan is the Minister of Finance since November 2016. He also Heads three of the vision realization programs: the Financial Sector Development Program, the Fiscal Sustainability Program and the Privatization Program. Previously, Al-Jadaan was the chairman of the board of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) of Saudi Arabia. In his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Al-Jadaan is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of the Public Investment Fund, Governor of the Kingdom at the Infrastructure Investment Asian Bank, Member of the Ministerial Council of the OPEC Fund for International Development, Member of the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund and Member of the Board of Governors of the World Bank.
Prior to his appointment as Minister of Finance, Mr. Al-Jadaan was a member and chairman of various committees and authorities. He was one of the founding partners of the Al-Jadaan and Partners Law Firm where he led a team of lawyers in the provision of legal services and contracts in many transactions and partnerships in the sectors of energy, petrochemicals, metals, water desalination, privatization and partnership between the public and private sectors and financing projects and initial proposals in the stock markets, bonds and sukuk.
Al-Jadaan, holds a bachelor's degree in Islamic Sharia from Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University and a degree in Legal Studies from Riyadh’s Institute of Public Administration.
