A strong believer in the transformative power of access to education and a globally recognized leader in the space, Nafez led the creation of the Queen Rania Foundation's Edraak online learning platform which today serves almost 4 million learners across the region. With over 10 million enrollments, Edraak is the largest non-profit online learning platform in the MENA region dedicated and focused on access to all. It has played a critical role in the region's response to the COVID19 crisis and is considered by many to have legitimized online learning in the region and for the region. Nafez's work with the foundation also extends to its shift to focus on tackling the challenge of low Arabic literacy as the number one barrier to access to education in the region. Under Nafez's leadership, the foundation is working with partners to identify evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning Arabic literacy that could transform the lives of millions more.
