Namgay has championed climate action and breaking barriers to youth participation in decision making through her work in the Bhutanese government that included being an Article 6 negotiator since COP27. As a Global Shaper and Climate Reality Leader, Namgay has engaged over 400 Bhutanese youth in climate literacy. Namgay aspires to understand how global goals can be translated into transformative local action by widening the scope of conversations and action at the grassroots levels. She served as the Thimphu Hub's curator from 2021-22. She currently works at the Bhutan Ecological Society as its Climate Solutions Strategist.
