Leads MIT's research efforts in digital currency, cryptocurrencies, and central bank digital currency, including three Bitcoin Core developers. PhD, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT, building fast, scalable distributed systems and databases. Has given a TED talk on the future of money, was named to WIRED's list of 25 leaders shaping the next 25 years of technology, and was listed on Fortune's Ledger 40 under 40. Member of the Innovation Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and member of Paypal's Blockchain and Digital Currency Advisory Council.
