She is the CEO and founder of Trashcon Labs, through which she invented the world’s first completely automated mixed municipal waste segregation unit and other recycling technologies.
Nivedha's invention has been recognised by the World Bank and Red Cross and has received several coveted awards nationally and internationally. Her technology has been recommended by the World Bank to the Maldives and other developing countries.
She is a regular speaker at various national and international waste management conferences and a TEDx speaker.
