What's really stopping women from working abroad?
Amongst the key career priorities of millennial women is international experience. So why are so few of them getting the chance to work overseas?
As the Vice Chairwoman and Global Human Capital Leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited, Nora currently leads our global people strategy, focusing on our people and their development, as well as the future of talent at PwC. Prior to this role, she was the PwC China Senior Partner for the Shanghai office, Central China Markets Leader and Asia Pacific Human Capital Leader. She also chairs the Culture and Corporate Responsibility Committee for the China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore firms and serves as a council member on the PwC Global Gender Advisory Council.
Beyond PwC, in Shanghai Nora worked with government and business leaders to promote the city’s sustainable economic and social development with a focus on benefiting people from all walks of life. She was a founding member of the Shanghai Youth Orchestra. Nora also served as Chairwoman of the Shanghai Charity Foundation United Way Fund Council, was appointed by the Mayor of Shanghai as the Executive Advisor to his office’s International Business Leader’s Advisory Council (IBLAC), and worked with the Shanghai Red Cross as a committee member.
