Nour Hazem Mohamed

Outgoing Curator, Global Shapers Alexandria Hub; Project Manager, Mostadam Project

Nour is a project manager at Mostadam Project. A project implemented under Rabeha incubator within the framework of UN Women - UNIDO Joint programme “Women Empowerment for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth in Egypt. She is working on empowering Alexandrian women in green entrepreneurship.

In February 2023, she became a Technical Assistance and Quality Assurance Consultant at GIZ Egypt in the “Employment Promotion Project” EPPIII. She worked on issues related to the future of work in Egypt; especially, regarding the transition to green economy and ICT skills for TVET students. She has over 5 years of experience in climate advocacy.

In June, 2022, She graduated third on her class in the Political Science Department at the Faculty of Economic studies and Political Science, Alexandria University.

She is very passionate about mobilizing climate action. She has launched a climate awareness campaign in her university. Furthermore, she has led multiple environmental awareness projects in the lead up to COP27 as a climate reality mentor and the curator of Global Shapers Alexandria hub. She is also a facilitator at Banlastic Egypt.

Moreover, she is learning Spanish and has a running knowledge of the French language.

Nour likes participating in cross cultural activities and debating forums. She took part in the women empowerment project under the auspices of the Chatham house and the British council in Alexandria as well as the Young Mediterranean debating forum. Additionally, she is an EU Jeel Connector.

She aspires to consolidate her study of politics as well as her knowledge about climate change in a way that creates effective policies to combat the climate crisis.
