Nupur is currently a Candidate for Dutch National Parliament in the Dutch Parliament Elections 2023 for the Liberal Party VVD. She was an Impact Advisory Council member of the Global Shapers Community 2021 - 2023 and was part of the Davos55 GSC delegation at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos 2022. She runs her own leadership consultancy business, among which in health(care), and worked as medical advisor for the largest health insurance company in the Netherlands. She is a multi-award winning Healthcare Leader, Advisor, Speaker, Author and Medical Doctor and Harvard Business School Alumni with an alt Exec MBA - PLDA. Nupur was supervisory board member for UNICEF Netherlands, currently member board of supervisory directors Shell Netherlands and board member Amsterdam Economic Board. The Board is made up of leading Directors of Academic Institutions, Company CEOs and Mayors from Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. An internationally acclaimed speaker, Nupur has given worldwide more than 150 speeches in recent years. Winner of the TEDx speaker award in Delft, Netherlands she has given 6 TEDx Talks in Europe and Asia.
She served on the board of National Association of Salaried Doctors Netherlands, part of Royal Dutch Medical Association. She is an appointed member of the European Health Parliament (EHP) focusing on creating a resilient European Health Union. The EHP is recognised as a partner in the Value in Healthcare project of the World Economic Forum’s Shaping the Future of Health and Healthcare System Initiative. Topics of her expertise are Women's Health, building more resilient health systems, future proofing health systems with attention for achieving health equity using the social determinants of health, with use of technology and AI and creating better access to healthcare.
Nupur was Curator WEF Global Shapers Amsterdam Hub 20–21, vice curator 19-20. She is a team member of the WEF Chatbots RESET healthcare project and WEF Generation AI: Developing Artificial Intelligence Standards for Children. She is a project champion of the WEF Women's Health Initiative. She co-founded the Global Shapers Restart Health project, co-set up the Amsterdam Hub project Humans of COVID and is Health Lead of the Global Shapers incubated AI Future Lab and was member of Global Shapers Community 10 Year Anniversary Taskforce. Her aim is to make healthcare worldwide better, more efficient and accessible. Helping people with a (non)-medical approach through her speeches, media engagements and highlighting the related issues through her board positions and advisory roles is her passion, and benefitted thousands of people worldwide.
She did her M.D. from AMC, Amsterdam and Fundamentals of Business, Harvard Business School, USA. She is CEO of drnupurkohli.com, Vedanka BV and healthcare advisory NIIS Health, Netherlands.
Further, she aspires to reduce stress in societies and businesses, affecting decision-making, productivity, and profitability. She did substantial research on stress and productivity and is author of the book "Chill! How to survive stress and improve personal and professional productivity. Symptoms and solutions to chronic pressure" with a foreword from two former Prime Ministers from Europe and Asia.
She received Most Inspiring Woman of the Netherlands award twice. For leading gender equality and women empowerment, honored by the Dutch Government. Dutch Financial Times (FD) has placed her in the list of top 50 young leaders of the Netherlands 2019.
