Blue finance: What is it and how could it save the ocean?

Paulo de Bolle is Global Senior Director, Financial Institutions Group, since January 2018. He also chairs IFC’s Fintech Investment Committee and IFC’s New Products Committee.
Before his current appointment, Paulo led FIG's Global Head for Equity investments. In that role, he oversaw all IFC’s equity investments in the financial sector around the world. Prior to that, Paulo was IFC’s Regional Industry Head, FIG in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). He was also IFC’s representative at the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange Sustainability Index board. He joined IFC in 2000 after starting his career in the private sector working on project finance transactions across several sectors and regions.
Paulo is an Economist and holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
