DR. PRINCESS IFEOMA IKE is a Nigerian board-certified Public Health Optometrist with over a decade of experience in pioneering holistic eye care and advocacy programs. As the founder and CEO of Princess Vision Eye Clinic Limited in Nigeria, she is dedicated to ensuring that eye care is accessible, high-quality, and affordable for all, regardless of social class. Under her leadership, the clinic has provided eye care services to over 150,000 individuals, including free eye exams and corrective lenses to over 30,000 underprivileged patients.

GLOBAL HEALTH AND ADVOCACY
Dr. Ike serves as a World Economic Forum Expert on Global Health, Future of Healthcare, and Women's Health, where she contributes to shaping global health policies and advancing innovative solutions. Her insights have directly informed policies affecting millions of people worldwide. As a World Economic Forum Agenda Contributor, her writings on critical issues at the intersection of health, climate change, gender equality, and technology have reached a global audience of over 500,000 readers, sparking dialogue and action.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND CERTIFICATIONS
Dr. Ike holds a Doctor of Optometry degree, graduating as the best student in her class, and a Master’s degree in Public Health. She has also earned certifications in biomedical investigation from the University of Florida, management from the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), and health safety from the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria. As a YALI Regional Leadership Center fellow and a graduate of the Pioneer Pandemic Preparedness Course by One Young World Academy (in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), Dr. Ike is equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond to global health emergencies. Her training as a Responsible Leader by the Forum of Young Global Leaders has further prepared her to tackle leadership challenges with integrity and effectiveness.

LEADERSHIP IN OPTOMETRY AND PUBLIC HEALTH
Currently, Dr. Ike is a member of the World Council of Optometry's "Looking Towards the Future: Optometry Program in Advocacy and Leadership (OPAL)" class of 2024. During her tenure as National Advocacy Secretary of the Nigerian Optometric Association, she led initiatives that increased access to eye care services. Now, as a member of the National Public Health and National Publicity Committees of the Nigerian Optometric Association, she continues to drive public health and inclusivity efforts, contributing to a 15% increase in public awareness of preventable blindness in Nigeria.

CLIMATE ADVOCACY AND SUSTAINABILITY
As a Climate Reality Leader and mentor, Dr. Ike has been instrumental in planning, and organizing climate action workshops that have reached over 2,000 participants directly and indirectly, focusing on the intersection of environmental sustainability and public health. Her global impact is underscored by her recognition as an Eye Health Hero by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness. Her published work in esteemed platforms such as the World Economic Forum Agenda, Marie Claire, Gavi the Vaccine Alliance, The European Sting, and Optometry Today UK has influenced health policy discussions and environmental strategies, reaching policymakers and practitioners across the globe.
